Advantages and Characteristics

Compex slide rails are available in lengths from 300 mm to 750 mm, with standard sizes cadenced every 50 mm to ensure wide adaptability to different applications. Customised sizes are available on request, offering tailor-made solutions for each specific design requirement.

Our slides offer the possibility of adjusting the stroke to suit application requirements, ensuring maximum flexibility of use. Starting with the basic models, it is possible to choose between different combinations of stroke and load capacity, adapting the product to specific operational needs. It is important to bear in mind that, all other things being equal, an increase in the stroke leads to a reduction in the dynamic load capacity of the slide.

Compex slide rails are designed for high load capacity, effectively meeting the demands of drawer handling. Telescopic slides offer a dynamic load capacity ranging from 80 kg to 40 kg, depending on the model and stroke (higher stroke corresponds to lower load capacity). Single extraction slides, on the other hand, maintain a constant dynamic load capacity of 50 kg.

To ensure a long-lasting, high-performance product, Compex slides use castors instead of bearings, eliminating the problems of wear and tear and malfunction due to exposure to the agents present in professional kitchens (dirt, grease and aggressive substances). Technological research into plastic materials has enabled us to develop castors that ensure:

  • Food compatibility, for safe use in regulated environments.
  • High resistance, to guarantee constant performance over time.
  • Long-term reliability, reducing the risk of deterioration and maintenance.

Our slides undergo rigorous durability tests using special equipment that simulates the drawer’s opening and closing cycles. This procedure allows us to verify performance over time, ensuring maximum resistance to wear and tear. In particular, the GT 01/1 model is certified to withstand over 50,000 opening and closing cycles under full load, without compromising functionality and smoothness.

Compex slides can be supplied with a hook fastening system, designed to simplify installation and reduce assembly time and costs. This system guarantees reliable and efficient anchoring, offering a practical alternative to traditional (screw or rivet) fastenings. Unlike other manufacturers, Compex offers sliding rails with hooks at the same price as the traditionally fastened versions, offering a faster and more convenient solution at no extra cost.

Compex slides ensure full interchangeability between the GS 51/4 (simple) and the GT 01/4 and GT 01/5 telescopic series, in the hook-on versions. Thanks to a single overall dimension between drawer and cabinet upright and a standardised latching system, a single fixing scheme can be adopted for all configurations.

This solution offers maximum operational flexibility, allowing the choice between a simple or telescopic slide even in the final stages of assembly, without the need for structural modifications.

Our slides are designed to ensure high hygienic standards by using materials certified for food contact. The combination of stainless steel and acetal resin ensures corrosion resistance, ease of cleaning and compliance with food and food processing requirements.

The slide profiles are made of the highest quality AISI 304 stainless steel. The pins where the acetal resin castors are fixed are also made of stainless steel.

Compex slides are designed for maximum durability and wear resistance, minimising the need for component replacement. Thanks to the quality of the materials and precision construction, spare parts management becomes a negligible event, ensuring operational continuity and reduced maintenance costs.
