  • Elastoformed vanes for industrial burners – Components made of AISI 309 (heat-resistant stainless steel) to withstand high temperatures. Elastoforming enables precise, repeatable shapes that simplify assembly and enhance the reliability of combustion systems in energy production plants.
  • Enclosures for electrical panels suitable for third-party ATEX certification – Designed to protect electrical systems in hazardous environments, compliant with IP66, IK10, UL508A, and CSA C22.2 standards. Made from AISI 304 or AISI 316, these monobloc enclosures are continuously welded and folded, with polyurethane gaskets that ensure sealing even in the presence of hydrocarbons and extreme temperatures (-40°C to +90°C). Their design allows for third-party ATEX certification, ensuring maximum safety in explosion-risk areas.

 

The use of advanced technologies—such as robotic welding, hydroforming, and elastoforming—ensures components with high dimensional accuracy, excellent resistance to aggressive environmental factors, and reduced maintenance costs.

A success made possible by elastoforming

 
For the energy sector, Inoxveneta successfully applied the elastoforming process to shape “heat-resistant” stainless steel AISI 309 (1.4828).
In the field of energy production, reliability is a critical factor, as the gas burners in question are installed in power generation plants around the world and often operate under extreme conditions.

 

 

Customer’s Requirement

 

Our customer asked us to evaluate the feasibility of producing blades for large gas burners using AISI 309 sheet metal. This material, an austenitic stainless steel classified as “heat-resistant” due to its high-temperature durability, is extremely tough and difficult to process.
In fact, with previously tested forming methods, the customer was unable to produce the blade according to the required geometry or with sufficient process repeatability. This led to significant challenges in assembly, high production costs, and reliability and performance issues in the final burners.

 

 

The Solution: Elastoforming

 

Inoxveneta overcame these production challenges in a very short time using the elastoforming process by:

  • analysing the formability characteristics of the base material
  • designing a dedicated elastoforming tool system
  • optimising the process through quick tool adjustments

 
All while meeting extremely short delivery times.
The customer was fully satisfied, as the elastoformed blades produced by Inoxveneta met all the required parameters: dimensional accuracy, process repeatability, simplified assembly, significant cost reduction, and a marked improvement in the reliability of the final product.
